Universal Uniform Sales Co. Inc. has been in existence since 1974. During this time, we have strived to provide the very best values in uniforms and equipment to the police, fire, security, transit, postal agencies and recently hospitality! We own and operate two conveniently located retail uniform stores in Northern New Jersey, one located in Newark while the other one is located in Morristown. Universal Uniform is comprised of over 30 well-trained and experienced employees. Our variety of experience and machinery, allows us to manufacture from scratch any uniform item the customer desires. We use our manufacturing capability to accommodate those "hard to fit" or "I needed it yesterday" type customer.
Universal operates its' own in-house cutting facility that offers distinct advantages to our customers, such as:

- Faster turnaround time on difficult to fit customers
- Ability to make individual patterns for difficult to fit customers
Newark Our main location and headquarters is in Newark 's downtown business district at 33 William Street. We are located a short distance from Newark Penn Station and have many customers and employees walk to our store from the train station. Since 1946, this location was operated as Lee Clothiers, a well-known custom manufacturer and distributor of police and industrial uniforms. Universal Uniform acquired Lee Clothiers in 1986 and absorbed its employees, machinery and manufacturing expertise.
Morristown. Universal Uniform's second location is in the business district of Morristown at 146 Speedwell Ave. We have been located there since 1981 at which time we also acquired a previous uniform company (Shranks). This location has convenient access to NJ's major highways of 287, 80 and 78. Our Morristown store is also within walking distance of the Morristown train station and is located on a major bus route (Rt. 202).
